One person’s vision isn’t enough to create change in America. It takes many people with persistence and discipline to alter our society. Today, we are faced with great challenges, and individual “agents of change” aren’t enough to produce the societal shifts we desire. We need an engaged citizenry who are ready individually to “Be the Change”. My decision to run for office isn’t about me, and it isn’t about you. It’s about us. My candidacy is a challenge to the constituents of Congressional District 1 to define our values, the principles we won’t waiver on, and to confront the political corruptions that are plaguing our system.
Colorado has always represented opportunity in America. People rushed here for wealth during the middle of the 19th century in search of precious metals. Others came to breathe the pristine air that fell from the heavens and down the Rockies, in hopes it would cure their Tuberculosis. Today, people are still rushing to Denver for the opportunity to work in a plethora of industries and to enjoy the incredible recreation in our state. I believe Congressional District 1 can become a beacon of opportunity if we are courageous enough to stand up for the Democratic ideals America is desperate for. Are you ready to “Be the Change”?
If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change. As a man changes his own nature, so does the attitude of the world change towards him.” –
